Donations accepted through November 4
UTO, or United Thank Offering is a Ministry of the National Episcopal Church in which we as a congregation participate every year.
UTO was established at the General Convention of 1889. Its mission is to “expand the circle of thankful people.” To achieve this mission, UTO encourages daily prayers, offerings and awareness of the abundance of God’s blessings.
United Thank Offering is a year-round offering. Offerings are always welcomed, but two Sundays are set aside each year to focus on UTO. These are the Sundays closest to All Saints Day in the fall, and the Sunday following Ascension in the spring.
The money raised through UTO is given as grants to various projects each year. Grants go to both local and worldwide projects. These projects range from charitable organizations to improve projects for the Episcopal Church.
Giving envelopes and Blue Boxes will be available on the Welcome Table in the Cathedral. Please submit your donation by November 4. You can also make your donation online via Realm as a one time donation, and scroll to United Thank Offering. You can make a donation via check or online and selecting the fund “United Thank Offering.”
