We are thrilled to welcome Douglas Mohrmann as the Cathedral's new Seminarian!
Doug was the Teaching Professor of New Testament at General Theological Seminary since January 2022. Before his work at GTS, he was professor of Religion at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He also served as Chair of Religion and Ministry Division as well as Co-Director of the Honors Program. He founded the Center for the Study of Antiquity and led the Ancient Studies program at Cornerstone, including guiding several student trips to Greece and Israel. Recently, he published a commentary with Brill (Leiden) on LXX Deuteronomy (2022) and articles in the Anglican Theological Review (2021, 2019). His current research is focused on Spirituality in the time of Jesus. With Rebecca, his wife they attend Church of the Ascension (Brooklyn). When not behind the computer, he enjoys hiking and fishing.
