The cathedral is undertaking a historic reseating project in the Spring of 2020. This project will restore the nave to moveable pew and chair seating as it was in 1885. The new seating, designed and built by Luke Hughes in London, will be more comfortable, flexible, and minimal--allowing for increased capacity for large services like Christmas and Easter and more open space and seating options at other times.
As part of this project, the Cathedral Chapter is offering an opportunity to contribute a chair or pew as an individual, a family, or a ministry group. This can be done in thanksgiving, as a memorial, or as a tribute. Inscriptions will be made on brass medallions and elegantly inlaid in the English oak seating.
The prices are $750 for a chair memorial and $1,500 for a pew. Checks can be made payable to Cathedral of the Incarnation, memo: seating project.
