Cathedral member Jeanisha Prysock-Gonzalez will be visting Puerto Rico on a missions trip with her school, where she and her classmates will pray together, serve the hungry, help repair houses damaged in Hurricane Maria, and more.
She will be collecting items at the cathedral to give to those in need on Sunday, January 12 and Sunday, January 19. Items requested include school supplies (black and white notebooks or spirals, binders, loose-leaf paper, folders, crayons, markers, colored pencils, pens, pencils, non-electric pencil sharpeners, small scissors, glue sticks). Health items needed include bars of soap, shampoo, body wash, toothbrushes, toothpaste, brushes, combs, sanitary napkins (no tampons), lip balm, lotion, washcloths, baby wipes, and towels. Small toys, coloring books, and gently used clothing would also be welcome.
There will be bins for the collection at the Welcome Table for the next two Sundays.
