Opportunities for Healing Prayers and Anointing

"Are any among you suffering? They should pray. Are any cheerful? They should sing songs of praise. Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up." James 5:13-15

James is clear in his letter that if we are suffering, or sick or rejoicing we must come to the community for prayer. Many of us are asked by our friends and loved ones to remember them in our prayers, but often we are unaware of how powerful our prayers can be; powerful enough to bring healing, comfort, and hope. Each Sunday after you have received communion, you are welcome to join a member of Pastoral Care Team to pray with you, for yourself, your family, your friends and especially for those who have asked you to be an instrument of prayer for them. This will take place at the Altar Rail around the Baptismal Font.
