Last weekend, several cathedral vergers attended the annual conference of the vergers Guild of the Episcopal Church held at St Paul's Episcopal Cathedral in the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego. Pictured with Bishop Susan Brown Snook are vergers from the dioceses of New York State who were present, including our own Episcopal Diocese of Long Island contingent: Diana Campbell, Gerry Potter and Kyle Sabo of the Cathedral and Richie Walther of Trinity St John's in Hewlett.
Over the course of three days, the vergers attended workshops on topics such as music and worship, liturgics, conflict resolution, and the "Prayground." They also participated in several liturgies at the cathedral and at St. James By The Sea in La Jolla, and had plenty of time for fellowship in and around sunny San Diego.
