In December, scouts from Troop 55 had an amazing time participating in many fun activities. On December 12th, the Troop held their last Court of Honor for the year. At the Court of Honor, scouts received merit badges and rank awards that they had earned throughout the fall. The Troop had a great time exchanging gifts at their traditional Secret Santa holiday party. On December 18th, scouts participated in Wreaths Across America which is an organization that lays wreaths for our fallen heroes. Troop 55 donated 8 wreaths and placed them at Veterans Memorial Park Plaza on Seventh Street. The highlight of the month for the scouts was attending the NY Islanders game on December 19th. The Islanders played the Vegas Golden Knights, but lost that night with a score of 4-3. Troop 55 ended 2021 on a high note and are looking forward to an exciting 2022.
