The application process is now open for the Cornelia Clinch Stewart Scholarship Fund scholarships offered by The Cathedral of the Incarnation in the Diocese of Long Island.
This fund is designed to provide financial support to those young people residing in the Diocese of Long Island who are in Grades 1-12 who desire to attend Episcopal primary or secondary schools either within or outside of the Diocese of Long Island. This scholarship program is named after Cornelia Clinch Stewart, the widow of A.T. Stewart, and the initial benefactor of the Cathedral of the Incarnation.
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be residents of Kings, Queens, Nassau, or Suffolk Counties in the State of New York and be a member (or be a member of a family who is a member) of a parish, mission, or other church which is a member church of the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or hold permanent resident status, and be starting, or continuing to pursue, primary or secondary education at an accredited primary or secondary school providing an education in the Anglican/Episcopal tradition. Please note that although applicants or their families must be members of an Episcopal parish, they do not have to be baptized or confirmed to be considered.
Scholarship award amounts will depend on the number of qualified awardees. Scholarship monies will not be awarded directly to award recipients in care of their parent or guardian.
