Stewardship 2010

“O God… let the whole world see and know that things which were cast down are being raised up, and things which had grown old are being made new, and that all things are being brought to perfection by Him through whom all things were made, Your Son Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Consecration Liturgy for Bishop Provenzano)

Dear Friends,

We are writing first of all to thank you for all you have done for your Cathedral family. You have been a faithful member of the Parish, steadfast in your financial giving and generous in your dedication to the success of our parish and its programs.

The Service of Consecration for Bishop Provenzano was a joyous celebration. An overflowing congregation of over 2,000 people, including many from our parish along with people from all over the diocese, witnessed the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon our new Bishop in a powerful liturgy that highlighted all that is best about our diocese.

Bishop Provenzano’s arrival marks an exciting new time for our Cathedral Parish. The Provost, parish staff and your fellow parishioners are looking forward with great anticipation to working closely with our new Shepherd in continuing and expanding the work of our bustling parish.

We are grateful that we can count on your continued involvement as an active partner in our mission. In fact, despite our economy’s current difficulties, thanks to your faithfulness our pledges have increased steadily over the past two years.

This is a testament to your commitment and to the vitality of our Parish and its programs, a comprehensive approach to the Christian life including Worship, children’s Sunday School, teen and Confirmation programs, Scripture and other adult programs, outreach to our older and infirm fellow parishioners, Cub and Boy Scouts, and our world class Choral music programs for men, women, boys and girls.

We hope that you will continue your active involvement in the Cathedral Parish in the coming year, and ask you to consider prayerfully your pledge for 2010. May we ask you to consider increasing your pledge again this year to help us continue and expand these programs? As you know well, this is only possible with your continued active support and commitment!

Thank you once again for your generosity. The next year is shaping up to be an exciting one for our Parish, and we’re looking forward to sharing all of it with you and your family. Please join with your fellow parishioners as we celebrate Christ’s never-ending re-Creation of our Parish, our Church and our world.

Faithfully,

The Stewardship Committee
